Google announces specifications for new launched Google Glass

 

Google has announced the specifications for Google Glass, its upcoming heads-up display.

Here they are:

  1. A display that’s comparable to a “25 inch high definition screen from eight feet away.”

  2. 5 megapixel camera

  3. 720 video recording

  4. Bone conduction audio

  5. Connectivity – 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro USB port

  6. Memory – 16GB flash memory storage; 12 GB usable and synced with Google’s cloud storage

  7. Battery –  standby time of a day, less if you’re doing video recording or Google+ Hangouts.

  8. Adjustable nose pads, with two sizes of extra pads.

The site says Glass will be compatible with “any Bluetooth-capable phone” but a companion app, called MyGlass, will require Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or higher, in order to enable GPS and SMS message delivery.

 Google has already dispatched  first 2000 units of Google Glass, It is priced at $1500 approx Rs. 80,000. It is available for sale on official website Google Glass, currently it shows stock over, more coming soon, you can signup and you will be informed when more pieces are available.

Samsung announces the Galaxy Mega, a 6.3″ or 5.8″ monster Android smartphone

Samsung Electronics unveiled its largest Android smartphone till date, the Samsung Galaxy MEGA with 5.8 inch and 6.3 inch touchscreen display phones due to launch in May.

Both the models run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and powered by Dual Core processors.
